Mentor Screening Questions
What we will ask you, and why
These are the screening questions every mentor applicant answers. Here is what each one is actually for.
Tell us what draws you to this. We are looking for people who are motivated by service rather than status, and who have the time to show up consistently for someone else.
There is no single right answer. We want to understand how you see the relationship — the balance between guidance and listening, and where you believe a mentor's role ends.
Every mentor is screened. Disclosure does not automatically disqualify you, but non-disclosure does. Applicants matched with mentees under 18 complete additional checks.
This helps us match you well rather than measure you. Share your journey and the year of your baptism if applicable.
We ask for one reference from a pastor or ministry leader who has known you for at least a year. If you are not currently attending a church, contact us and we will discuss alternatives.
